Rocket City G-BLASTers Bowling League Bowlers
Originally established in 1990, as the Red Ribbon Bowling Association, our bowling league is a member of the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO, since 1990), and the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).
Community Involvement!
The league was established to provide a safe place for LGBT bowlers to gather, socialize and make memories. We have been involved in donating time and money to what was then known as the Aids Action Coalition of Huntsville. Members of the league still continue to donate both their time and money to THRIVE Alabama and to various other charities in our community, just under a new umbrella Rocket City G-BLASTers (Gay, Bi, Lesbian, Straight, Trans) Bowling.

Our first IGBO-affiliated tournament was held in Atlanta Easter weekend in 1981. 44 years later, we are holding our 42nd tournament in a grand style. (Two years Atlanta Hosted IGBO Annual.)

ORBIT
ORBIT Raleigh Bowling Tournament was founded as an all-volunteer North Carolina non-profit corporation in 2023 exclusively to foster amateur national and international bowling competition through the annual production of the ORBIT Raleigh Bowling Invitational Tournament and other various fund-raising efforts to help raise funds for LGBTQ+ related charities in North Carolina.
